PDD Jammu daily wagers allege discrimination

Jammu:- Despite direction of state cabinet for regularization Power Development Department (PDD) 3000 daily wagers the verification process of Jammu province has not started yet on other side in Kashmir valley list of regularized daily wagers were published. On assurance of state government that their demands would be fulfill within one month and daily wagers culminated their agitation demanding regularization of daily wagers after lapse of several months but no measures have been taken in this regard. Sources told to Young Bites that the state cabinet approves the regularization of 3000 daily wagers on 30th august despite the lapse of two months and on direction cabinet but Jammu province PDD has been not started the process of verification. All Jammu and Kashmir PDD daily wager Union President Kulbir Singh alleged that state government was discriminating and adopting delay tactics with Jammu province daily wagers on other hand they had started the verification procedure within week at Kashmir Valley “If there is one department Jammau and Kashmir then why this discrimination with Jammu province Daily wagers “ he rued He also said that the regularization process of 1170 daily wagers of Kashmir valley was finished and their lists have been published last week. On other hand 1250 daily wagers have received notification from Chief Engineer Shenhaz Goni on 9th Oct that their verification process would be started on 5th Nov this year. He also said that these daily wagers have been working in PDD department since last 18 years and exerting regular wages. “If they have been working from since last 18 years why the PDD taking much time for verification of daily wagers” he claimed.
